The Nariai Lab is located in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Neurology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Hiroki Nariai, MD, PhD, MS is the principal investigator (PI) and a pediatric neurologist/epileptologist. Our research is shaped by our practical clinical insights and motivated by the unique experiences and challenges of our patients.
The Nariai Lab aims to enhance our understanding of the complex disease mechanisms underlying epilepsy, while our primary focus remains improving clinical outcomes for children with epilepsy. To achieve this mission, we utilize integrative, multidisciplinary approach, leveraging the synergies of neurophysiology, neuroimaging, engineering, biostatistics, and artificial intelligence.
